This is the Burden, or Bindle Stick: the inventory system within the hybrid gamebook, board game, and role-playing game called Il Viandante Cosmico or The Cosmic Wayfarer. Within it, the wanderer—whether playing solo or multiplayer—can store their Tools of the Trade, which include weapons and armor, key items, and other useful gadgets for solving puzzles, engaging in combat, and everything else needed to complete their space adventure.
